In my free time after work, I took the initiative to learn current software and developed this project to learn parametric design using Grasshopper. By using generative algorithms that I created in Grasshopper alongside plugins like VisualArq for BIM, LadyBug for detailed environmental simulations, and Wallacei X for initial form-finding explorations, I was able to successfully complete this project.
Twist, located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, stands as a potential new center for growth in the city. This 29-story office building can accommodate a large corporation or be divided among multiple companies, offering versatility in its design.
My ultimate goal with this project was to challenge myself and push my creative boundaries. I aimed to blend my experience from various architecture firms with self-directed learning of cutting-edge technologies and techniques. I embraced the challenge of creating a contemporary workspace that harmonizes functionality with aesthetic appeal.
